Job Details:

We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic, intelligent, and positive SPA RECEPTIONIST to join our family at Martha Soffer's Surya Spa, in our Kelly Wearstler-designed Ayurvedic Spa in Santa Monica Proper Hotel.
Knowledge of Ayurveda is not a prerequisite, though you must have a strong desire to help people and a desire or willingness to become immersed in the world of Surya, from our all-natural products to transformative treatments, and in the world of Ayurvedic knowledge, as well.
Prior Spa experience is welcome; essential are strong communication skills, computer savvy, and ideally some knowledge of scheduling and booking systems. Mostly, the candidate needs to love being with people, caring for them, and helping them.

Please send us the following three things:
(Many candidates don't do this, and we sadly can't pursue them! And, as this job gets posted on different platforms which don't always allow for sending anything but a resume, if you're truly interested in the position, please address these requirements in an email to roger@suryaspa.com):

A short paragraph on why you might be a good fit with Surya, which you can learn about at suryawellness.com. Even if you haven't done this before, tell us why you feel you could excel and thrive in this role and environment.
Please include a resume that speaks to this position.
Because we're an Ayurvedic clinic, we use Vedic Astrology to help guide us toward mutual compatibility. Therefore, please include the city you were born in, and the year, day, and time.
Benefits:

Subsidized Health Insurance.
Treatments.
Ayurvedic Lunch.
Discounts and other Surya-specific benefits.

At Surya, we work hard, we have fun, and mostly, we truly help people, often in a transformative way. Surya, and Ayurveda, literally change lives. There's also a tremendous opportunity to grow with this company and to benefit from that growth. If you're the right candidate, we can't wait to have you join our family in Santa Monica.
